What your dashboard shows

The dashboard is your home screen: a quick read on where things stand.

Before you’ve recorded anything

A brand new household has nothing to read yet, so the dashboard doesn’t pretend otherwise. You get a single prompt in the middle of the screen asking for your first transaction. No chart of a month that hasn’t happened, no headings over empty lists.

Record anything at all and the dashboard becomes itself. Nothing to switch on, and nothing to dismiss.

Your daily graph

A small chart of day by day spending: the last fourteen days on a wide screen, the last seven on a phone, with today always on the right.

Each bar is what you spent that day and carries its own amount. A day you spent nothing on still gets a small bar labeled zero, so it reads as a day rather than a gap. The line running behind the bars is your net worth, archived accounts included.

Touch a bar to read that day’s figures, drag across to move between days, and tap the same bar again to see what you spent it on.

Below the chart sits this month’s cashflow: what’s come in minus what’s gone out. Transfers between your own accounts are left out of both sides, because moving your own money from one account to another isn’t spending it or earning it.

What’s due

Below that, what’s due to record, labeled Overdue if anything is past its date and Due today otherwise. Each one is a tap to record.

When you share a household this list is yours: schedules on your own accounts, plus every shared one. Someone else’s aren’t here, because you can’t confirm a payment you haven’t seen. The Scheduled page is where all of them are.

Things that need attention

When something needs a look, a short notice appears at the top: a scheduled payment whose account has been archived or deleted, a low balance, or someone else’s overdue schedules.

You can dismiss any of them and it stays gone for the rest of the day. If the situation hasn’t been sorted out, it comes back tomorrow.

The search button at the top works just like the one in Activity. Tap it and the dashboard turns into a search of all your transactions. Close it and your widgets come back.
