Who a scheduled payment belongs to
A scheduled payment belongs to whoever owns the account it comes out of. There’s nothing to set. If the rent leaves your current account, the rent is yours to record. A scheduled transfer belongs to whoever owns the account the money leaves, since they’re the one who can see it go.
Why it works that way
Recording is really confirming. When you tap to record, you’re saying this actually left my account, and to know that you have to have seen it in your own banking app. Only the account holder can do that, so who owns the account already answers the question.
Anything on a shared account belongs to both of you, because either of you can look and see the money move.
Everyone sees everything
The Scheduled page always shows the whole household. Planning around next month’s bills only works if you can see all of them.
When there are two or more of you, you can tap a name at the top to narrow the list to one person’s schedules, or to the shared ones, and it stays that way until you change it. Each row names the account it comes out of, so you can tell them apart.
Warnings are never narrowed
A low balance, or a schedule whose account has gone, stays on screen whichever name you’ve selected. A problem in the household is everyone’s to see, even when it’s one person’s to fix.
You can record someone else’s
And that’s rather the point of it. If your partner tells you the rent has gone out, open Scheduled and tap it.
