Low-balance warnings

Quidough looks ahead at the scheduled payments due this month and tells you when an account hasn’t got enough to cover them. You’ll see it in two places.

On your dashboard

A Low balance notice sits at the top of your dashboard with the short version: how many accounts are short, and whether they’re short outright or only until your scheduled income arrives.

Review takes you to the detail. You can dismiss it once you’ve seen it.

On the Scheduled page

The fuller picture. A Low balance notice lists the accounts that are short, each with the amount it’s short by.

The individual payments behind the shortfall are flagged in the list as well, with a warning icon and an Account low on funds note. So you can see both which account is short and which payments are causing it.

It tells two situations apart

There’s a real difference between a payment that can’t be covered even after your expected income arrives, and one that’s fine as long as the income lands first. Both places separate them, because they ask different things of you.

Scheduled transfers

Money arriving by a scheduled transfer counts like expected income. If it’s coming from a different currency it isn’t counted yet, because the amount isn’t known.

Credit cards

A credit card is judged on its available funds, which include the limit, rather than on its balance alone.
