Terms of Service

Last updated 13 July 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Quidough when you use the app. We've kept them as plain as we can. Using Quidough means you accept them, so it's worth a read. How the app actually behaves is described in plainer detail in how Quidough works.

The short version

  • Quidough is a paid, hosted app for tracking your household's money. It shows you your own figures – it isn't financial advice.
  • Your data stays yours. Export it or delete your account whenever you want. We never sell or share it – see the Privacy Policy.
  • Use it honestly and lawfully, and look after your sign-in details.
  • We aim for a calm, reliable, accurate service – but no software is perfect, so please check anything important.

1. About these terms

Quidough is a product of Cambridge Motion Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 08115942, registered office 483 Green Lanes, London N13 4BS, United Kingdom), trading as "Quidough" ("Quidough", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Quidough.

2. Who can use Quidough

You need to be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. You hold an account with a single email address, and you're responsible for what happens under your account.

3. Getting in (and the waiting list)

Before public launch, Quidough isn't open to everyone. You can join the waiting list at quidough.com, and we'll email you the day it opens. Joining the list doesn't guarantee a place or a launch date – it's a way to be told when we're ready.

There's one way in that skips the wait: if someone already using Quidough invites you into their household, that invite works right away.

4. Your account and security

You sign in without a password – with a one-time code sent to your email, or through your Google account. Your email and Google accounts are the keys to Quidough, so keep them secure. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account. You're responsible for activity under your account and for the people you invite into your household.

5. Households and sharing

A household is a shared space you keep your money in with the people you invite. A few things to understand:

6. Using Quidough responsibly

Quidough is for tracking your own household's money. Please don't:

7. Your data and content

The financial data you add or import is yours. You're responsible for it being accurate – Quidough records and organises what you enter; it doesn't fetch it from your bank. You can export all of it, or delete your account, whenever you want.

We handle your data as set out in the Privacy Policy: we never sell or share it, and no bank aggregator sits in the data path.

8. Quidough is not financial advice

Quidough shows you your own numbers – balances, budgets, reports, and currency conversions – to help you see where things stand. It is not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and it doesn't tell you what to do with your money. For advice about your situation, speak to a qualified professional.

We work hard to be accurate – for instance, Quidough leaves a figure out and tells you rather than showing a guess when it can't be worked out fully. Even so, please check anything important before you rely on it.

9. Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep Quidough available and dependable, but we can't promise it will never be down for maintenance or beyond our control. We may add, change, or retire features over time. If we ever plan a change that materially reduces what you're paying for, we'll give you reasonable notice.

10. Suspending or ending your account

You can leave whenever you like by deleting your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or is used unlawfully – normally with notice where we reasonably can. If your account ends, you can export your data first; afterwards it's handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Our responsibility to you

Quidough is provided with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we don't accept liability for losses we couldn't reasonably foresee, or for decisions you make based on figures you're responsible for keeping accurate. Nothing here limits any liability that can't be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Quidough grows. When we do, we'll update this page and the date above, and we'll tell you about significant changes rather than slipping them in quietly. Carrying on using Quidough after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England & Wales – without affecting any consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
