Refund Policy
Quidough is a paid app, so it's only fair you know where you stand if you change your mind. This page explains when you can get your money back, who handles it, and how to ask. Quidough isn't taking payments yet – this is how refunds will work once subscriptions open.
The short version
- You try it before you pay. Quidough starts with a free trial that doesn't ask for a card, so nothing is charged while you make up your mind.
- You have 14 days to change your mind after a payment – a statutory right in the UK and the EU/EEA, and nothing here reduces it.
- Payments and refunds run through Paddle, our payment provider. They take the payment, and they're the ones who issue the refund.
- If something's gone wrong, just ask – hello@quidough.com. We'd rather put it right than argue about it.
1. About this policy
Quidough is a product of Cambridge Motion Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 08115942, registered office 483 Green Lanes, London N13 4BS, United Kingdom), trading as "Quidough". This policy covers payments for a Quidough subscription. It sits alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. Who takes your payment
When you subscribe, the purchase itself is made through Paddle, who act as the seller of record for Quidough. That means your receipt comes from Paddle, Paddle handles the tax wherever you live, and Paddle is who processes a refund – back to the card or account you paid with.
Paddle's refund policy applies to the transaction, and nothing on this page contradicts it. Where we promise you more than Paddle's policy does, the more generous of the two applies – that's Paddle's own rule as much as ours.
3. Before you pay: the free trial
Quidough begins with a free trial, and it doesn't ask for a card. Nothing is charged while it runs, and when it ends nothing happens on its own – you decide whether to subscribe. That's deliberate. A trial that quietly turns into a charge is the thing refunds usually exist to undo, so we'd rather not build one.
4. Your 14-day right to change your mind
If you're a consumer in the UK, the EU, or the EEA, the law gives you 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of a digital service. That's your right, not our favour, and nothing here takes it away.
Two things worth saying plainly:
- Because Quidough is ready to use the moment you subscribe, checkout asks you to agree that the service starts straight away. That's normal for digital services, and it affects how the 14-day right applies – Paddle sets out the detail in its policy. In practice: if you're inside 14 days and you want out, ask us.
- Where a fresh 14-day window applies – for example when a free trial ends, or when an annual subscription auto-renews in the UK – it starts again from that day.
To use it, email hello@quidough.com, or use the refund option on your Paddle receipt. Refunds go back the way you paid.
5. After that
We don't offer an open-ended money-back guarantee, and we'd rather tell you that here than let you find out later.
What we do instead is look at what actually happened. So please get in touch if you were charged twice, charged after you cancelled, charged for something you didn't choose, or if Quidough was broken for a stretch and we couldn't put it right. Those are ours to fix, and we will. Anything else, we'll still read it and give you a straight answer – which is sometimes no.
6. Cancelling
You can cancel whenever you like, and it takes a link, never a phone call or an email you have to chase. Cancelling stops the next payment; it doesn't refund the period you're already in, and you keep using Quidough until that period ends.
Your data is yours regardless of how you leave: export all of it, or delete your account, whenever you want. Stopping payment doesn't wipe anything straight away – we keep your household's data for 90 days after access ends, so there's time to come back or take it with you, and delete it after that. See the Privacy Policy.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this page as Quidough grows – and if we ever made it less generous, we'd tell you rather than slip it in quietly. When anything changes, we'll update the date above.
