Setting up your household
The first time you sign in without a household, Quidough asks you four things and then gets out of the way.
What it asks
A name for you, whichever one you’d like the rest of your household to see. Most people use their first name, but it’s yours to pick, and you can change it later in Settings.
Then a name for the household. Your base currency, which is the one Quidough converts into when it shows you a total. And your first account, so there’s somewhere for money to sit.
If you signed in with Google, Quidough already has a name for you and skips that question.
What happens next
Quidough sets you up with a full set of starter categories, so you’re not looking at a blank page, and puts you on a dashboard you can use straight away. Nothing else needs filling in.
A household can be one person
“Household” doesn’t mean there has to be more than one of you. If you’re on your own, it’s simply yours, and everything about sharing stays out of your way until you invite someone.
If you came in through an invite
You skip setup entirely. The household already exists, someone else named it and chose its currency, and you go straight in.
